This site is dedicated to promoting kitesurfing in Cabo Verde. Although many kitesurfers have already discovered the Isle of Sal, it has managed to remain a well kept secret. With this site, our goal is to open the door into this secret surf spot and expose it for what it really is, a KiteSurfing PARADISE. If you want to go kiting on one of the best waves in the world, or just learn to kitesurf combined with a holiday in a comfortable hotel... Sal is the place to go.
There are many kitesurfing facilities on the island with options ranging from:
• Kitesurfing Lessons
• Kite Clinics
• Kite Safaris or
• Kite excursions on a catamaran.
However, as there are so many locations on the island and the beaches are so long it is never crowded.
Sal is also the location of international competitions like the Pro Tour and WaveMasters, where you can see the worlds best kite wave riders at the famous Cape Verde Atlantic wave spot Ponta Preta. Check the dates.
However, even outside of competition time there is opportunity to see some of the worlds most famous riders. The windsurfing world champion 2003 Josh Angulo has chosen Sal to be his hometown.
